Advice on removing rear shocks?

Hey guys,
As the title says, i need some help in removing my rear shocks, i have had a look at them and there seems to be a metal surround above the strut top.
Am i missing something or is there another way to remove them?

A quick response will be highly appreciated fellas.

you have to remove the back bottom seat, 1x 10mm bolt LHS between bottom and backrest

then remove the side backrest. 1x 10mm bolt each side on the bottom, and then slide up

you will see the top of the strut in there..
