I haven't heard anything in particular about these cams but I've heard rocket industries make good quality stuff.
Why not just stick with the tried and tested cams? oem, skunk2, Toda etc.

The Brian Crowers are designed just for the strip though... Would they be any good for track?

BC cams are proven, I think he is the son of the original Crower Cams founder, that is why I am sourcing a set to swap out with my Skunk2 ones that I currently have in the car. Problem is the exchange rate is really unfavourable now......

k20a cams is interchangeable with k24's? so DC5R (integras) or FD2R (civics) fit into your engine as well?
I always love the noticeable vtec crossover in the K20a, so i guessing changing over to a more aggressive cams will have the same effect?

From what I know the intake cam should be fine but the exhaust cam might be pointless as the K24 doesn't have vtec on the exhaust cam.
Also some K20 valvetrain components won't be a straight fit for K24 as the valve spring seat is different. So if you want a K20 camshaft/valvetrain you might need to swap all the parts.
This is what I've heard, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

aus euro runs K24a3, right? so it's only vtec on intake cams and not exhaust?

So the TSX has VTEC on both cams? DAMMMN, would it be poossible to modify the K24A3 for this?

There tends to be a bit of confusion sometimes with this one.
USA = K24A2 (TSX)
AUS = K24A3 (Euro, TSX equivallent)
USA K24A3 is the basic Accord.

That's what i heard as well, so what? only the intake cams from dc5 works on the euro and exhaust cannot be used on it?

so AUDM euro (A3) = no vtec on exhaust cams?

I'm pretty sure even the K24a2 only has vtec on the intake cam. But the TSX 06+ cams are the most aggressive oem K-series cams ever made, more than FD2R. From pictures I've seen the primary lobes are taller on the K24a2 than the type R cams and the vtec lobe is just as tall. So basically same peak power but more torque before then, a little less vtec crossover I assume.
The K24a2/3 have very good exhaust cams stock (ours isn't that far behind the TSX's) so I think it would constantly be somewhere between a cruising profile and vtec profile all the time. So no need for vtec on the exhaust cam.

questions!!
In the near future, i upgrade the cams on my dc5R and used the stock dc5R cams (intake & exhaust) onto the euro, would greddy e manage ultimate able to handle it?

The Euro's intake primary cams have a higher profile than the DC5R's for better low end torque but lower than the DC5R's in the secondary cam.
It's better to use the Euro's exhaust cam as it has a higher secondary cam profile than a DC5R's.
You'll still be able to tune it with the E-Manage.

K20 cams will fit in a K24 if you change the valve seats
as for the aggressive kick, thats because they have smaller non-vtec and bigger vtec lobes... hence, bigger step in powar!

stock DC5R cams have bigger VTEC lobes on the intake... but smaller primary and secondary (non-vtec) lobes...
but our exhaust cams our bigger for all three lobes...
(when compared to AUSDM K24A3 cams...)
so would you say for peak power dc5R intake cams + euro exhaust cams be the best match?
yes, using K20 cams you will get slightly higher top end hp, but between 0rpm and 6000rpm you'll loose power.... not worth it when vtec is only for 1400rpm!
in a heavy car more power low and mid will give you better acceleration than just top end...
i had two sets of K20 cams (JDM K20A cams and USDM K20Z1 cams) to use on my head swap, but i stuck with the K24A3 cams as it had better mid range...

if you get a stage 1 or stage 2 cam designed for the K20, remember that because they have smaller nonvtec cams than us, their aftermarket equivelants normally have slightly smaller or possibly the same nonvtecs as the stock K24 cams... vtec lobes will be more aggressive tho... in this case, you may loose some low/mid range power...
if you get stage 1 or 2s designed specifically for the K24 tho, then theyll have possibly larger nonvtecs, meaning you wont loose any low/mid power...
getting stage 2 cams youll have to upgrade your valve train, and theyre only recommended if your running I/H/E already (not designed for stock engine)...
any springs/valve package made for the K20 will also need the k20 valve seats to fit in the K24..

is there anyone that does specific cams or the K24? the ones i have been quoted for have been for the K20, with valves etc. i have IHE but i think the headers and exhaust need to be upgraded so im going with J racing headers, probably gunna go the single outlet exhaust this time, just waiting on pics for the modproject one

Reviving this old thread again...
what would the recommendations be on cams?
06 tsx cams? would they be a direct fit?
