I've seen an FN2R Civic type R hatch in white at the PrixCar car warehouse in Altona Victoria. I didn't think they made them in white. I had a look on Honda Australia's website and also Honda UK and they don't advertise the Type R in White.
I have 2 Pics, It's definately not silver as it's seen parked next to a silver one. It doesn't show it in the photo but there are another 3 or 4 white ones in the lot.

Who cares, the FN2 wether its type S or R, white or black stock or worked, will never live up to the likes of the EP3 & Mugen RR

actually if the FN2 came in CW and LSD, i'd have bought it over the EP3 just to save the hassles with insurance and parts etc.
the FN2R is/about to come out in championship white in the UK... not sure if it will land in Oz though.

Honda is just selling what (majority of) people want to buy.

I've added better photos which are on the same address as i've posted before. The white car is a Type R the silver is just a plain civic 5 door.

Released at the Motor Show today, quote:
"The new 2009 Honda Civic Type R will go on sale from March 2, priced from $41,990."
Edit: just noticed they mention graphite coloured alloys? Can't tell from the photos if they're graphite or white

This new differential has allowed the Type R to shave 1.44 seconds off its lap time of the famous Tsukaka circuit in Japan.
WTF is a Tsukaka circuit?!?!?! Damn article can't even get that right. :thumbdwn:

Although the CW version is an improvement I wouldn't buy it!
Dealerships still have the current FN2 for $39,999 driveaway.
I would consider buying one(CW) only if they offered it for the current
fn2's driveaway price!
The LSD should've never been excluded from the FN2!
The clips below show how the CW Type R fairs with the competition.
These clips are from the DR .Tv Site.
There are two parts to the video.
The site is slow, but it's interesting what Chris Harrison(formerly from Auto car mag.) says about the CW Civic in part one and what the professional driver says about the CTR in part two.
Below is part one,you can follow on to part two by clicking the link on the same page.

Interesting enough the actualy price of the CTR has gone up not only for the white but for all
2008 models are still 39990 but 2009 are 41990 excluding charges.

Yeah. The brochure shows the new CW with regular rims. Surely Honda Australia aren't that stupid?
It looks - and in typical Honda Australia fashion, is - cheap. :thumbdwn:

New CW colour is nice, but too late imo, and new version comes with LSD and other upgrades just make ppl who already brought CTR feels silly and unfair. but anyways, GL with sale! I hope I can see new CW CTR on road asap!

lol doubt it, its only an option, but look at it this way, u can get them on XR4 fords, and XR5's, even commodores and people like them.
each to their own
errm y are ppl who already bought it complaining? this is very normal for car companies... minor model upgrades/facelifts happen all the time, with better features or improvements over the first release... especially on a new platform/model.
u can't go saying "what's the point of lsd now?"... it's a great feature to now have and might make those who didn't get it earlier consider it now. there are plenty of ppl who do not go and buy the first model release, cos they know the facelift could possibly be better for the same/similar price. if not, then get the runout model at an even cheaper price... win win for them.
oh, and it was only a matter of time before they released CW... they can't release a Type R model without CW! It's like no red for Ferrari!

The new flyer for the CTR on the Honda website has CW as just an extra colour option, not a special edition model. And with standard colour rims.

If you go by the Honda website it seems like the 09 model CTR will all have the extra features as standard (LSD, Rear sensors, ipod attachment) and the 09 price is $41,990 plus charges.
So either the press got it wrong saying the CW would be a limited model, or Honda website has it wrong, or they changed their mind, or?....

It doesn't matter what eidtion will be, but add CW as extra colour is good news for all buyer.

the limited edition civic hatch is the Si model, not the type R, the Type R is just the mid life upgrade with a new colour. its not a limited edition colour.
i cant wait to see ours with the white wheels though, ill post a pic!
