It's probably been said in an earlier post.
But the rougher the Vtec crossover, the more power you lose from the shift between cam lobes.

H22a has a pretty nuts sound - nice and deep and the crossover hits hard

B16 is probably the loudest screamer i have heard

F20 and K20 sound crazy with ITBs

and any B series with 4-1 headers will rumble around hehe

turbo D16y1/D16z6 sound amazing too

having a switch on a B series to manually select between ON/OFF/ECU for vtec can be fun
gives you vtec killer cams electronically - lumpy idle at lights - but plays havoc with ur tune lol

three way rocker switch

intersect the power wire to the solenoid

run one wire to 12v, one to ECU and one to ground

that way you have ON - OFF - ECU CONTROLLED (normal)

its very bad for the car tho - and screws up the fuel + air adjusts
sometimes it doesnt even work - car just stalls

whats up, i had a magnaflow high flow cat and a skunk 2 intake manifold and skunk 2 68 mm throttle body. I also had a v2 aem intake. Those things increased airlow greatly and definitely increased the sound of vtec.

Well I for one and probably many others miss read/understood the title which states most roaring VTEC engine.

Which when I read it again, is more to do with how loud you can get the engine to sound its VTEC.

Confusing this with a quite engine crossing over very loudly to VTEC is different coz it's just poor Peformance....

Should the question be which Honda engine when on VTEC sounds closest to an F1 engine? Coz they're fricken loud!
