cmon people, I wanna install my HID kit tomorrow but I'm not sure where to place the ballasts
take the front bumper off and there is plenty of spaces to hide the ballast from the popos'. Not sure about the civic but on the integra and EG civic you can place the left ballast right underneath the overflow bottle. The right side I placed inside my right fender.

What car? Ek? Wellfor the dc2 one side is bolted to the front support bar with a metal bracket(should be supplied) and the other maybe bolt the bracket onto the strut tower...
Have you retrofitted them? Hope that you're not going to blind ppl!

Alright thanks, I'll give it a try, btw is it illegal to have have exposed ballasts?
you r better not to expose the ballast, as HID is illegal on the road if you dont have projector and the light washer

I have mine located one near my factory air box and the other a good 30mm away from my pully on the passenger side as the kit didnt have alot of flexibility for the bumper install...
plus cbfed cutting wires etc etc, lol
everything looks pretty stealth as is in a stock EJ8

Apparently, if your projector heads lights are dirty and you don't have washer jets, the dirt will deflect the ultra bright HID lights in an undesirable way making it illegal.. Sounds like a pretty dumb law to me anyway..
