S2000 ap2 stock wheels/rims

Hey all, new user, but did search the 'parts for sale' and found a few 99-02 ap1 16 inchers' but couldn't find any ap2 17" wheels, with or without tyres..... Though heaps of people put new rims on..... So where do they all go... Was asking as will buy an ap1 soon but am keen to put the oem ap2 wheels on... (fan of continuity) and resales! Anyway i saw $300 - $500 for ap1 16's so how much usually for the 17's??

I would even be interested in AP1 wheels from 2002 onwards as they are supposed to be more polished and have a different rim to the 99 to 2001 AP1 wheels.Is that true?

yes ap1 2002-2003 have polished wheels (similar style to 99-01)

I'd like a set of AP2 wheels too, they seem next to impossible to source though! I went to Honda a while back and asked for a quote on AP2 wheels new from Honda Japan, price was something ridiculous... Can't remember exact figure but it was >2-3 g's! I might get a quote tomorrow and see if they're still available. I'd say keep an eye out on ebay, s2ki, and yahoo Japan auctions for them... My mate nearly won a bid for them for just over $1000 AUD + shipping, but he decided to go with BBS wheels instead.

Alright, I got some good news and bad news!

Good news: I remembered to go to Honda, I got some quotes on certain AP2 goodies, the spare parts guy was actually quite knowledgeable (which is surprising as I have had some real duds in the past!), and the wheels are still avail. to purchase new from Honda.

Bad news: your looking at around $4,2XX.XX inc. GST for 4x AP2 wheels...

I've been thinking about the FN2R wheels on the S2K lately...

they're a nice design, but non-staggered (unless that's what you're after) and the offset is pretty far from ideal compared with what the S needs.
