so you haven't followed another Jazz before??
basically the lower (red) part of the taillight is only a big reflector. with this mod, you'll wire a light bulb so the lower part lights up as well.

Looks f*ckin mad....I got a huge gash in my hand that I still have a scar from, but it was well worth it.
petrovski helped me out with it, but yeah, it's pretty straight forward....just a bit of a hassle because you have to pull the rear bar off and everything just to get the lights out...

the rear bar is bloody hard to take off man. i couldn't do it when i fitted park sensor last time. might have to get a mate to help out this time.
btw which type of wiring did u do per this site?
http://hondafit-web.hp.infoseek.co....mp02/lump02.htm
i'm think doing no.3 to warn (blind) those tailgaters :P
also how much are those bulb holders http://hondafit-web.hp.infoseek.co.jp/diy/lump/lump01/lump_09.JPG
i'm also thinking about putting LED bulbs in too.
any Brizzy boys want to do it together???
Ive got a civic EK ! does this concept work the same?

man, running a cable & light bulb is very easy. if just need get the bulb holder thingy, light bulbs and cables. then drill a hole to fit the bulb, wire the cables to the brake light cables and that's all there is.
but without looking at the tail lights of a EK, i can't say for sure.
on the jazz, there's already a place where u can drill to fit the bulb:

My mum has a 6th gen civic (march 03) and it would work in her civic if you wanted to do it.
The bayonets (bulb holders) you can get from honda parts.
The part no. is 33513-SAA-003, you need 2 and they are about $15 each from memory.
Bulbs cost $4 from autoone.
then you need wires red and black or just one colour and female plugs to attach the wires to the bayonets. Got these from bunnings about $3.
wire them in. To check which wire goes where just look at the ones you have already and you can figure it out and then join them together ie the new wires to the existing wires.
to get the rear bar off if you have a vtis you dont need to take the rear spoiler off! there is just a couple of screws and those pull out tabs and it 'snaps off'.
the drill bit you need is 21mm but i couldnt find one. there was only 20mm or 22mm. I got a 20mm and then got a small drill bit to drill around the edges to make it that little bit extra to fit. When you insert the bayonet it should be a snug fit so it wont fall out if you hit a bump. And dont worry about the locking in tabs. when your drilling the lights have a vaccuum cleaner there to suck all the crap out from inside the light. the little bits off plastic are a B**** to get out!!!!

Hey Pete, can u please confirm that what is rear spoiler and what is rear bar?
Do u mean that the rear spoiler is equal to rear bumper? Thanks!!

looking at the instruction supatt posted, reminded me that when we installed the park sensor, we dropped one of the light bulb down the chassis and it was a real PIB to recover it.
