headunit issues

hey guys

got a quick dilemma

head unit works fine with the radio, all channels work

but when i switch it to cd player, right channel starts to crackle and cut in and out, whilst the left is perfectly fine,

could this be, the lens is gone?

by channels you mean speakers right? music cutting in & out usually means a simple loose speaker connection. you mention crackling so it could be blown too. but then that would mean the speaker would act that way with the radio too..

how olds the head unit? could be on its way out

OEM radio or aftermarket. almost sounds like a dry joint in the unit.
