yeh, you'll need a line out converter, it switches your normal high level (normal speaker line) in to a low level signal (rca) or if your amp has high level inputs you can run the tapped speaker line directly into it

Yea you will need to do one of two things:

1. Use a Line Out Converter to change the speaker signal from the head unit into an RCA signal (see here: http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121146)

2. Get a company called "ASR Audio" to mod the head unit so that RCAs come out the back

There are cheaper ways to do it but they will yield poorer results.

He wants to run a sub off his factory head unit not the most expensive speakers on the planet so your comment is invalid about yielding poor results. Most uneducated people listen to iPods or other rubbish storing devices which means they are not looking for quality sound in the first place now are they? LOL

Icacha he said hes a noob, why should that make me automatically assume he doesn't want good sound? And why should I offer a half baked solution when there is a cleaner way of doing it? If you take a second to read my post I also said it would yeild "poorer" results not poor results.

Yes but you either need to add a LOC or have an amplifier that can specifically use the high level ouputs from the amplifier built into the head unit.

Joe, you're a n00b yourself unless you can prove to me otherwise. Having an online car audio store doesn't automatically make you an expert sorry to say...

I have more than sufficient knowledge to cater to the needs of all but the biggest audiophiles in which case I have a network to support me. If you are going to make personal attacks on me I would prefer you kept them off the board.

I appologise to the OP for going OT but I can't let unjustified attacks on my credibility go unanswered.

can be done not recommended. LOC can be picked up from desire4sound (fusion/schnider), straightfield, pulse car audio (Schnider). they range anywhere from 120+
