not sure how the op did it but i would duct tape, then a thin mdf board cut to the holes shape, duct tape over again, then sd over that

yeah i was thinking of doing that as well, just wanted if there was another solution to taping the backing of a sheet of mdf/cardboard (i.e using a plastic sheet instead)

I believe the installer simply Dynomat'd over the access panels with multiple layers which would be sufficient given that the Dynamat also has the metal layer over the roadbase. As mentioned MDF is also a pretty good alternative.

Very. but the pic above was just a comparison. The actual location is in the boot beside the spare wheel. It was a shame to hide it away but its a more practical solution.

Are Dynamat Extreme and Xorb front doors worth it?

Thinking of picking up some from ebay ($240 + $60).

My EG doors are basically tin and consider my setup isn't exactly cheap, I was hoping for some solid gains.

Dynamat'd doors are well worth the money.. if you do a search of some audio forums youll see examples were expensive speakers sound weedy (no midrange) when simply installed in doors without sufficient deadening.

Im still out on the Xorb diffusers tho....
