That really depends on a number of factors and what you class as massive. I figure your talking a stock motor? In the right hands (tuner) you'll see good gains.

Massive gains - Yes (But like Dean said, depends what you think is massive).
Is it worth the money - Yes!
It is one of those mods that brings all the other mods you've done (Intake, Exhaust, headers) together. It gives you more power where you need it (Down low) and even more where you didn't think it was possible (Above 5500RPM).
If you plan on keeping the car, and have the extra 2k (new) for the ECU, and the extra $800 for the tune (If you don't tune it yourself) then do it. I've had my K-Pro in my car for around 6 months (Tuned by Adrian from Toda), and think that it was probably one of the best mods I've done to the car.

Think after the headers/wheels and coils then it must be time for the ECU then..

best mod only if u can afford it. It maximises the gain you can get from your other mods like your standard I/H/E. Otherwise if u dont have atleast those standard bolt on mods dont bother wasting money on a kpro and a tune.
Probably advise you to get RBC intake manifold and jdm throttle body along with the kpro too. Save $ on retuning.

Look into what you need to do to get a K-Pro working on a Type S (K20z). I think you'll need to buy a few extra bits & peices...

My car dyno'd stock at 114kw atw to 126kw atw with Toda headers, Fujitsubo Power Getter and Injen CAI to 142kw atw with K Pro and tune. The K Pro and tune cost less than the other mods did. But in the same breath, it's those combinations working together that get the better result. Just doing the ECU and tune wouldn't net 20kw atw on it's own.

Sure... You'll only experiance reving to 3k, and what ever the speed limit is (So either 50 or 60km/h) though... As I'm not a hoon...

lol. u'll hit vtec in 1st within the speed limit so it should be enough for me hahaa

if i have a completely stock motor, with no mods at all, can the car be tuned to put out more power than factory?

that's what i thought but i've heard otherwise....changing vtec x-over and stuff on a stock motor....i was under the impression that honda would have given the best tune possible with the car as it was, but i've heard otherwise.

Absolutly! An engine is a little on the rich side from factory. Hondas use a Map sensor not Air flow sensor. This is why intake and exhaust mods work so well on a stock motor, as it sees the same pressure/same fuel, but your actually getting better flow and therefore more air in. This is your 'window' that can be tuned for.

Step 1: Buy K-Pro
Step 2: Fit k-pro and have it tuned

rofl ok guys. its not a chore, I simply pointed out that his steps cant be applied to everyone and used myself as an example.
I was just implying that not everyone has rich parents to provide all their fundings and/or is 40 years old and has a full time job. Pretty sure a majority of the people on this forum is either on their P's and is a uni student whom has limited funds to spend on their cars. why take the route that requires you to double spend on something that you can do once and do it right?
anyways, i never said 45set was wrong and im pretty sure he isnt offended to anything i said. it was a discussion but i guess u guys like to take this "car modding" business seriously
