hey guys,
Can anyone tell me where I can purchase a air intake pipe for the Jazz and how much would it cost? I have tried a couple of performance shops and also autobarn, but no one seems to be able to help me.
Thanks
Tony

if you just want the cold air pipe you can get cheap autotechnica (spelling?) stuff from auto one fro about $35 or you can get full on fireproof piping like jus-10 that cost abnout $70.
there is heeps of posts on intakes fro the jazz already. Do a search and im sure you will find what you're looking for

anyone know what size the diameter of the pipe is where the intake pipe goes around the throttle body? also if i get a custom pipe pad for a pod to run it into the corner where the standard box gets it air, i know i gotta hookup that air sensor but what about the other hose, can i just put a little oil breather(little pod looking thing on that)

muli- 2 1/2' when i measured it. As for the 'other hose' ou can get a little tube welded onto the intake pipe.

what does it really do, my understanding is that if i rev the engine relative happily, oil will come up through this pipe but does it go back into the engine or onto the air filter and would there be any benefit in having something welded onto the intake pipe or just put a little breather on the end of it. but the sensor is required to be connected?

it was about 110 for the apexi pod, 150 for the pipe, 3 for the clamps and 27 for the silicone pipe.
its an S bend that puts the pod right in the corner. I will get another pic up for you when i get a chance (Y)

Anyone got any opinions on BMC pod filters, i cant seem to find a Apexi pod anywhere except these really huge ones and these are about the same price

it's a gruppe M CAI
how much, do i need to remove fog light
im getting a custom made intake piping done for my jazz in two weeks.
Is there much difference in aluminium or stainless steel pipe? i got told aluminium runs a bit cooler, but $22 for a bend on steel pipe or extra $40 on aluminium i would be looking at 2 extra bends? is it worth the extra money.
Any of you guys with custom made boxes/piping got any piccies.
i can pm you's my email if you can send them into it

I question whether a cold air intake is really worth it as a standalone mod.
After doing a high-speed high-rev cruise recently I looked in the engine bay straight afterwards, and the whole airbox and intake system was very cool to the touch.
Perhaps it is of most use in stop-start traffic on a hot day? But then you don't really need to go faster, so... hmm

Few jazz owners did report improvements in performance with pods so i can only do nothing other than try.
and as soon as i get the pod done in 2 weeks time ill start looking when they can fit me into get my exhaust done, im getting a 2" custom made mandrel bend system done soon, gonna dyno car before pod and after then also when i get the exhaust
