Custom B18 headers fit B16a?

I want to know if custom made headers made for a b18c will fit a b16a ek4?

They should fit mate, only issue is the b18 and b16 are two different engines in saying so the b16 is a zippy mid range vehicle mean while the b18 is more top end.

The headers will fit and should bolt on however the gains won't be as impressive as if u were to buy some b16 aftermarket headers.

Personally I have a set of RMF rep I got off a member here new at a decent price and they have given be the best gains I rate these even over my old mugen set!

dissagree with that statement sorry.. B16's have no midrange or low down ONLY top end ;)

I've run a B16A-specific Tanabe 4-2-1 (2" collector) on my car for years and with the same mods I swapped to a B18C/B16B Mugen 4-1 (2.5" collector) and the gains were amazing !

The B16 Header had a bit more low down but the midrange and top end gains from the mugen header were well worth it.

These gains on my engine may be due to having cams that can take advantage of the 2.5" collector... If you get a B18C2 (VTiR) header it will also only have a 2" collector - only headers meant for B18C-R or B16B will have the 2.5" collector.

To answer your question, a B18 Block is about 20mm taller than a B16 block so the header has extra height to clear the taller block - you CANT use a B16 header on a B18 because it wont clear the block. the B18 header on the B16 is fine but it will hang down extra low and may cause a ground clearance issue ;)

a 4-2-1 or 'tri-Y' header wont be too bad but the 4-1 like mine hangs down VERY low.

Yes...
But B18C deck height is 7mm taller.
So header will hang 7mm lower.
Gains or losses are dependant on header design/quality.
