Considering Honda has turned into a 'limp wristed' car manufacturer this is something of what could've been with the current Civic Type R.
Ah..well!,I don't know how much I can take of Honda advertising it old technology of IVTEC and it's ad nauseam reminiscing in articles and brochures about it ancient former F1 glory and not to mention how hybrids ARE the only answer to better fuel economy and less emissions.:(
My signature certainly describes the diametric opposite of what Honda isn't doing at present.

I was hoping this was gonna be an fd2r. LoL it's still a nice car tho.
The death of Honda performance cars is sad, but probably necessary for them to survive as a business. Like the article says; out of the 20 limited edition Mugen fn2r's made, only 16 sold. If there is no demand, why supply?

Although I was negative in my post I still hold out hope that some day Honda will produce something that as enthuasists,we can be proud of.I
used to criticise Toyota as being akin to a 'white goods' manufacturer but lately with their upcoming rear wheel drive sports car ,LFA and ISF they have shown
even in troubled economic times they are still producing high performance cars.It just shows when an idea, project is driven from the very top of a company,
the chance that it will come into fruition can be very high.

Sad to hear indeed that they are stopping the production of their performance cars. Maybe if they sold the fd2r in Australia and the US it would be a different story lol Why do all the nice cars stay in japan

As if its past na 2l times hybrids are crap the technology is stupid why buy a car willlingly knowing the batterys die and cost about 5k to replace if it was the future they would be mass marketed not at the back of a showroom.
