Has any done type R conversion for EP3 civic?
I can't seemed to find one.
Thinking of doin full type R conversion for my wife's 1.7 4sp auto civic.
Seriously this is the gayest civic out of all civic generations.

If the ep hatch is the gayest out of the civic range why would you let your wife buy a eu3 for?

yeh i'm jus thinkin of gettin coilovers n dump it down if type r conversion is way out of budget. sick of drivin this car the way it is. 4sp auto, worst handlin n shit brakes.

Good luck finding coilovers for an EU3!

I went through a phase of looking for aftermarket parts for my EU3.. Up till now, I found nothing.. Probably a sign.

Not sure about the auto one.. But I got a manual EU3 and it goes good for what it is :) 700km's+ from a tank is also a bonus.

yeh my in law spent 3.5k for transmission rebuild at honda last year when the mission was gone for gd. shud've done manual conversion. I can get silver's neo coilovers for 1050 from streettuned.com. I used them on my ek and they were really gd. might get them.

Hehe, i have an eu3, yeah the car lacks balls badly...1.7 is a joke...but hey my stance is comming along quite nicely, not as easy to find coilovers for it, everythings overseas, but very easy to find lowered springs, up to you, springs not exactly ideal, but beats the 4wd stance it has right now.

no point sinking cash into an EU3, when you can pick up a JDM EP3R for under 20k nowadays...

no1 ever thought that his wife cant drive Manual.

tru u can go buy an EP3, but its not like his wife will boot it every time just to hear vtec.

IMO, Keep the cash and mod your DC5 ull be more satisfied that way.

So you're implying that OP is suggesting a k20 conversion with an auto gearbox? :o

My wife doesn't drive tho the car's hers. I sold my DC5S a while ago n I thinkin of either keep EU3 or sell n buy current JAZZ vtis. Can't buy EP3R as it's only 3doors. Not suitable for baby. Oh I miss my DC5!!

If Type R conversion for EU3 was affordable it's best option for me.

Type R conversion is not affordable. Sell and upgrade if you feel the need for a quicker car.

It wouldnt look good for prefaced unless you change f/r light first.

I am pretty sure all cosmetic things at the front is FIT as I ve done to mine too.(05)

what is your budget? I saw one ages ago in indonesia, this dude converts the EU civic to EP3R spec, with K20 and all and won couple of Auto salon in Indonesia as 'King'. Looks good...

but yeah, it all depends on your budget

doing the engine conversion itself will be close if not over 10K already...and then the exterior, interior, wheels...the list goes on.

I was thinking of doing this with a k24 as it is cheaper then a k20 engine conversion alone would be about 8k to have everything running properly. Then parts paint brakes all adds up not worth it just buy an ep3

I say do the type r conversion for the EU3, its going to look more unique then your typically looking EP3R, sounds like a good project.

yeh as it's 4 door, more practical. I heard that EU3 chassis is different to EP3 R so engine wont fit. Is this true?

I meant "cosmetic". See my members pics. Hav a look and PM me if you are required.
Still get to find better option for engine(Chargers on or swapping)
