hey guys put an aftermarket wheel in a while ago.
its been grinding ever since i put the horn shoe in. I've tried to adjust it so its less pressure on the boss kit. this got rid of a lot of the noise, but i find its right on the end of contact.
the noise is still there!!
has anyone experienced this??!!
thanks in advance

So has anyone changed their wheel and used a boss kit? What did you do for the horn

My wheel grinds a bit at low speeds in the e30. not sure why and haven't bothered to try and fix yet.

if your talking about the metal contact for the horn making a grinding noise? it's probably due to too much friction between the two surfaces, I sprayed silicon lubricant on mine and it worked a treat =D occasionally it will return so I just kept spraying lubricant on it.

why wouldn't you rectify the problem first and for all? it takes as much time to put petroleum jelly or spray lube on it?

what would you suggest then?

space it out, i need to look at it to rectify the problem, whether it could be shim or spacers or filing something down,
