You're right. But I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere official that states if the car comes with red turn signals standard, that's okay. But you can't change the colour of your turn signals from orange to anything else.

if you use green globes in the red lights it comes up orange. that way they do "blink" amber.

just to be a smart ass :o, it doesnt have to be for LHD cars. old school american cars dont use amber blinkers, instead they use the tail light to blinker.

edit: i should mention that my accord has clear blinkers all around (no amber bulbs) and i havent got pulled over once. its been 3 years now. have you guys noticed some model ford falcons (the ghia ones) have clear rear blinkers? also some euro cars have it as OEM...

I have always wondered why it's so bloody important for them to be amber? why not blue or green or maybe even pink? how I see it is if the shit blinks no mater what it is anber or pink then legal it shall be! bloody laws..... aarrrrggggg NOTE: I say this coz I know of people who have been defected for really stupid shit!

I'm all for one colour for all indicators. It's much easier to identify someone with their indicator on at a glace. I also want a blue light at the back for when the driver has the clutch in. But with all the autos on the road, it doesn't really matter. Not really a safety thing like the indicators are.
