car head unit

Forgive me if someone else already posted a similar question, but i cbf searching all the threads. so a couple of questions regarding the headunit of my honda civic ek1 1998.
Would my remote central lock stop working(not that it works now but i plan on installing a new remote lock) if i remove the cassette head unit?
alpine vs kenwood head unit if i dont plan on getting a sub or amp?
do i need to get a iso harness and where can i get one in new south wales?

not sure why a change in head unit will have any impact on the remote lock.

iso harness should be readily available from any car audio shop, repco, supercheap auto, jb hifi might have them. also check ebay (not always cheaper)

thanks, i just read somewhere that it would affect the central locking in some installation guide but it was rather vague about it so just asking for sure

does anyone know the size of the speakers that fit into the front ?

probably a 4inch or a 5inch.
my civic (EG) had 4 inch ones,and a special spacer to clear the door trim and the window track
