i went to have a look at a honda legend, its 2007 model with 3.5L.

i notice it say AWD only, doesnt say SH-AWD.

i thought that shape com with SH-AWD already.

if anyone can clarify this would be great.

if im not wrong, the SH-AWD is honda's fancy name for AWD.

as far as i know, the KB series all had SH-AWD.

Maybe the SH part of the badge was de-badged/fell off
Im sure ALL Legends 07' are Super Handling

RTFM! :p

the user manual is a pretty good place to start.

also pretty sure the KB1 runs on some wierd michelin tyres. or have they gone back to normal tyres now.

where can i find user manual?

the late 2008 model come with 3.7L, so only got 3.7L on honda web site.

if it has sh-awd, i might buy this legend hey

have you tried here (http://www.acuralegendwiki.org/index.php/G4:_Service_Manuals_And_TSBs)?

i know its not the 2007 model, and its also not the AUDM manual, but it can make for some good reading before dropping good money on the legend.

sensei_

if you are too lazy to download the manual. apparently there is a fuse that will indicate SH-AWD. according to the manual (acura RL), it would be in the passenger side fuse box.

didnt you get rid of one car already?

and yes, the rims do not suit the car. i would rather the original rims.

connorling

i sold one car, paid off my s2000 and just bought a house yes.
i dont want to drive the s2000 so much.

not much point having a sporty car as a daily, since driving with idiots on the roads is so "stressful" might as well drive something with a nice relaxing interior.

if i had things my way, i would get myself a pick up as a daily (since im carting around bulk stuff), luxury sedan for when i need to cart around passengers, and a soft top (s2000) for the sunday arvo drive on my own. of course we all have the problem of unlimited wants and not enough cash.

lolmclol
04-09-2013, 09:39 AM
Just throw a few deckchairs on the back of the pick up instead ;-)

Civil engineer tho.

Good enough. You would know about lateral force, load bearing, weight distribution and whatever else is required.

According to the Honda fact book, it does come with SH-AWD, but that's JDM spec though
http://www.honda.co.jp/factbook/auto/LEGEND/200410/index.html

This seems to support that it was available in the AUDM cars as well

That legend generation in the Carsales link is SH-AWD. That model did not come in FWD/RWD or plain CRV-style AWD.

Even the 2006 model review states that it has SH-AWD

just that the badge is on the passenger side instead of the usual driver side and it only says AWD.

just argue that you need a practical car, and the legend ticks all the boxes.

she said its nothing special.. i was like yer, look might be normal, but the technology is advance. and safe.
and its a lot of car for that money.

at least she cares and want the best for me.
but she said i could get it if i can afford it, as long as it doesnt delay anything planned for both of us, ie marriage.

yer that was my part of argument.
and do need a safe solid family car.

this can apply to people who have a short term girlfriend, but if long term, I would see what the missus would say as she is not only a life partner, but someone who would share the financial burden just as much as the other

gooby pls dun do dat

Just the way connor was going on about how his gf wouldnt let him buy it
I mean if he needs (i put a strong emphasis on need) a daily then maybe they both need to sort it out

Though the paddle shifting auto would make a relaxing daily

im sure one can always work things out in a logical manner. especially if you intend to stay together in the long run.

maybe show your gf a few other cars in the price range, explain that dollar for dollar you are going to be safer, comfortable, etc in the legend, OR you could just buy it and work your arse off to get to your end goal, and hope all is well :p

wait til you get the JDM legend. plenty of goodies that australia market miss out on.

take mine for example, in japan, traction control was available. traction control wasnt available until 98, they also had reclining rear seats believe it or not. australia still hasnt seen it even today
