The Super GT season ended in style for Nismo Motul (http://clixtrac.com/goto/?174818) Autech! Not only did the team secure a superb win, but also clenched the championship! The last round took place on 16 November on a typical autumn day in front of some 32,000 spectators eager to watch the end of this closely contended championship. Nismo Motul Autech’s car #23 had bagged pole position and Quintarelli took the lead straightaway, managing to regularly widen the gap. At the time of the driver change, he had a 40 second lead. After refuelling and a tyre change, Matsuda took over the wheel of the car and was in no way intimidated by his contenders.

He kept up a fast pace and crossed the arrival line almost one minute in the lead. ‘The car performed really well this weekend,’ acknowledged Matsuda. ‘We knew that our main enemies could be technical glitches or a collision with another car.’ And Quintarelli concluded: ‘This win and our title in the championship are to be credited to our team as a whole.’
We can also hail the excellent third place of the Honda of Weider Modulo, another team supported technically by Motul.
