is the d16y5 a weak engine?...
will it handle 8-9psi safe....all day everyday..

From wat i seen...sohcs usually run between 6-7psi for daily with no internal work done

mate of mine turbo is eg sedan and it was auto until 2 weeks later his gear box blew up his making 7 or 8 pound boost, i had a quick ride on it and i think its a waste of time putting a turbo coz wen we went out last month there was 2 b16 civic same model beat his car, we couldnt believe it

dunno how sh!t a driver your friend is but i'm even with a b18 teg on 5.5psi and stock everything (pump, injectors, etc). i only lost to one b16 civic but he has engine work done and puts out 103kwatw. his take off is unbelievable. rolling start i beat him though.

also, when you compare value for money, i spent less than a b16 swap and i beat em easily. car's still reliable as ever and still close to stock fuel milage

doesn't matter how much power you have, if you're a sh!t driver, prepare to be owned.

i didn't say it was stock,said it close to stock.......u can pull a 13.9 with a hard launch with completely stock 03wrx....there was a 2000 wrx there that night which was completely stock..no exuast...no nothing n he did a 14flat
that night i got narly exactly the sme time as a 05sti...he got 13.2 sumthing as well..
owning a dc2 vtir and saying a wrx sucks izzn't the best decription for a wrx..

R u kiddin? Do u know anything about Rexies? Stock 1/4 mile for non-sti is low 14s. This dude has exhaust, fmic, CAI and wound up his snail to 16 pounds. So 13.2 is easily beleivable.

And vti_ek9, dude ur an egg. If u got a rex why would u want to turbocharge ur auto civic for?
