My little brother has gone and brought himself a civic breeze i am just wondering if it is possible to transplant a b16a into the engine bay. i believe the breeze is carbie... correct me if i am wrong but also what motor would it have its a 1994 model (i have used the search function and i couldnt find out, so either its not here or i am crap) . And please dont flame him as it is his 1st car on a limited budget (and at least it is a honda). Cheers

yes and yes.
more searching would be appropiate.
anything is possible.
bottom line you'll hafta convert it to an EFI if it is a carbie.

Step one: Find 6-7 grand to cover all costs.
Step two: Get conversion done.
Step three: Register the transplant with an engineer's cert as you have followed steps one and two.
Step four: Wonder why the hell you put a torqueless wonder like a B16A into your car when you could have: a) installed a better motor like a B18C or K20 or K24 into the car for a little bit more or b) Could have better spent the money on a more powerful car that will hold its resale better than the hybrid will.
BTW: the posts are here, it's a common question.

lol as i stated its my bro and its his 1st car. And the b16a isnt bad cause i have been timed at 6.013sec 0-100 in my CRX SiR. And also it will be hard for him to put a bigger motor into the car as insurance companies get stricter and costs rise.

Engine transplant + insurance company = HAHAHA
But seriously, it should be a D15B4 motor with Dual Keihin Carbs, not to shabby for a first car.

7-8 secs 0-100 is more likely on a lightly modded b16a ?

heheh, its a D13b, single carby if its the breeze, i have the same model, and looking to do the same mod, this is a good link, a DIY on how to do EXACTLY what you want.. but it would be more like 7-8 seconds as the others said.
here is link B16A conversion into EG breeze (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5953)

hahahhah think again
i payed 1.6G's a year for my EG hybrid.
also it is quite possible for a EG breeze B16a to hit mid 6's 0-100km/h
already done it my self..
for a conversion guide pzl check the DIY/ARTICLE tutorial section..
if your planing to do the labour yourself u'll have a budget of around 4-5 G's
for lil things here and there..
most important thing is the fuel system
and the engien mounts..

as he said it is quit possible for the breeze to do mid 6's with light mod b16. i have light mod b16a gen 2 crx SiR and yes i did 0-100 in 6.013 seconds.

argh. look here for engine type in a breeze. It has been discussed at length before. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27198&page=4&pp=12&highlight=breeze
It's either a 1.3L single carb or 1.5L single carb. Probably a 1.5L d15z2 if it's the 94 model.

i honestly think if your bro is young and its his first car, its a silly idea putting an engine like a b16a in it for him.
but thats just my opinion, let him get some experience first hey...
