View Full Version : K20 Stock Intake Restrictor?? removal?

Ive have heard that there is a restrictor on the stock intake that can be removed with a die grinder a little bit of know how.Apparently this will get u 18hp!!!
Well ive got the die grinder ;) just like to know a little more before i start pulling bits off.
Thoughts, reccomendations, ideas?

u must be talking bout the 'hondata' mod, basically cutting out the wall inside ur intake box
do it yourself on clubrsx.com

im sure it will void any warranty if your air boxs breaks.... talk to your dealer thow before conducting any modifications. traditionally speaking thow warranty is only effected on the part changed / modified. but its up to the dealer at the end of the day.

Purely for you guyses info.
The position of honda austraila is that they do not recommend ANY modifications. However if a modification is made but is unrelated to the fault. (say i do airbox mod and susp dies) that will be covered. If the problem can be traced back to a part that has been modified the warranty will be void.
This kinda leaves a rather large grey area as u could blame the airbox for anything that went wrong from intake to exhaust in theory...... hmmm only one way to find out i guess. ;)
EDIT: Oh and its up to honda australia with new car warranties as they pay for it not the dealer.
