Did you do it yourself? Cause pros' usually heat up the area to prevent cracking of the paint.

the pro's use clear nail polish when the paint cracks

a good friend of mine does it for a living

As long as the gaurd was pre-heated to prevent too much flex there shouldnt be a short term problem at all. BUT over time due to the paint developing tiny stetch marks im sure eventually, the paint will crack. BUT that is the price for rolled guards :)

BTW N/A - where did u get ur guards rolled ? How much ? PM me plz !!!

The best thing is to roll them 1st and then repaint under neath the guards blending to the panels.

Well that way it wont crack or anything but thats if u want to stay on teh safe side.

spray the inside of your guard with primer or the same color paint so you dont expose it to water so it doesnt rust anytime soon

barefoot: i didn't do it myself.

i drove for 2 mins without the guards being rolled, and realised that my new 16s are touching too much and got them rolled, got them done at "7day tyres".
they used a heat gun to heat the guard then rolled it, but i think its crackling because of the 2mins of driving.

ben: pm sent but i got charged $70 for the rear.

jomsy: clear nail polish? as in the stuff you put on your nails? can i DIY it?

Yes the stuff girls use on nails, and yes you can DIY it

one thing you all need to remember is that paint will crack easier the older it gets regardless as to how much heat you put on it
