brake discs

Hi Guys,

I was looking at my car and notice this mustard looking color on my brake discs. It's all around the discs. Is it coming from my brake pads? The right brake discs is covered all around the disc, but the left one has bits of traces of the mustard color. Anyone experience that? or know what it is....?

Btw the discs are smooth but wondering what the color is and why its there.

It's rust. Don't worry because the discs tend to rust overnight. Once you drive off and apply the brakes, the brown stuff gets wiped off.

Did you just wash your car, or has it been raining?

Think it would be rust, just a bit of surface oxidisation from mositure. Drive it and hit the brakes once and it will be gone. :thumbsup:

just take it around the block with some mild to heavy braking :)
