Nope but I use Motul oils for all my bikes, and am more than happy with them. At the end of the day though, I think they aren't as necessary unless you're running a fairly aggressive setup. If you've got the $$$ to spare by all means, but there are cheaper alternatives that will do the job as well.

BTW: do they rate Motul car oil the same as motorbikes? I.e 510, 6100, etc, or is it just one generic range with different weights?

I dun like 4100 .. never tried 8100

going to try Castrol 5-30W R syn.
as autobarn sell them cheap now... only 3X for 5 litre..Repco still sell them at 6X for 5 litre

had been using mobil 1 fully syn 5-50W for a long while already ..

5-50W

5 is the starting viscosity .
50 is the working Viscosity.

If U REV your car to 8500 quite often .. then choose the engine oil at 30-40W

if not , then 50W is fine.

for track , it is okay to use 0-40W. However, NO good for ROAD use and need to change the engine oil atraight after the track day.
for Road Use, I prefer 10-40W. Less harm to the engine in the morning ( cold start ) .

I recommend Motul 300V 10-40W. although the engine will EAT a lot of engine oil , need to check regularly.

lol might be a bit late... but just go to hanny's in smithfield

Mobil 1 10-30W sitting in drums there.... just take an empty bottle.
10-30W isn't available everywhere....

Motul is good as well.. autobahn chatswood has it on the shelf...
just depends where you are. It's not sold everywhere.

It doesn't really matter what oil you use, just change it regularly.
I'll still dump a mineral oil in my car (although new cars shouldn't need it, it was reported that mineral oils were better for seals) - then if I drive it hard, change it around 2500kms to a synthetic.

A bit late but go Mobile 1 15w-50

Reason is it is a thick oil......takes longer for it to get to temp but will protect your engine a lot better than other grades cause of our hot climate and, i'm sure you to your service every 5000km . 15w-50 is what southen people use when taking there cars on Track days. eg(WRX's)

castrol 5w-30 gets dirty very quickly... i find i need to change it every 4k... and im not in vtec that much at all...

currently using motul 10w-40 technosynthese 8100... im pretty happy with it... its what spoon uses LOL... actually they use the good stuff the 300v... but its $20 more expensive :(

i would recommend either... anything in a 5w-30 or 10w-40 range is fine for a civic.

300v is soooo expensive as a regular service oil though.. better be in the industry like blkcrx is.. otherwise your paying too much to get you to work and back

I've used 300v, Xcess 8500?, Turbolight. Good oil, but I've found another brand that works better for me.

And its expensive for regular oil changes.
