DC4 undertrays & Aircon

I've recently picked up a DC4 and am now just getting to know it a bit better. The other day I noticed that the rear edge of the front plastic undertray (under the car, just behind the radiator) seemed to be bolted up to the front of the second plastic undertray. I'm not sure if this is how the car comes from the factory or whether a previous owner has had it bolted up for some reason. I suspect it should hang a bit lower and perhaps let air that has just been through the radiator our under the car. Can anybody shed any light on the correct configuration of the undertrays?

Secondly - how cold do people find their air-con in DC4's? Mine is moderatley cold but not as crisp as it could be. Do other people have more effective systems? If so, I'll look into getting a re-gas, otherwise I'll just live with it.

It's just a little 1.8 litre motor.. :)
you cant expect it to be as cool as a V6 or any other decent family size cars. :)

^^^i donno, i can only have mine on for 5 or so minutes going flat out, gets too cold!!!
