"If Mario lowers his car 4 inches, and has Voula the 120 kilo bird that his mate shagged last week at Brighton Le Sands, will he pass the test when coppers pull him over?!?!?"

ROFL sorry..

Anyway, yeah 2.5 is OK for 17's I believe. My gf has that on her car, but she has a rubber band tyre on (I think 40 profile).. The profile is the thing that'll bite ya on the bum the most, and the fact that most 17's are wide and may scrub. Have you had a look at 16's?? You can get some really nice rims in 16, and you lose a bit of the extra weight as well! :D

hahhahahahahahahahahhhahhaha

all i can say is GOOD LUCK on the 17s

i lowered mine on 17s 1.5" with 45 series rubber and it sat on the guards

changed it to 40 series and all was sweet ...

dunno maybe you might if you wanna pay for 30 series but i don't think you'll get away with it mate.

will have to roll guards i think

How differnt is it to flare guards, compared to rolling them? Any advantages/disadvantages of either?
I got mine on 17's lowered (not sure how much) but in the next year or so I'm looking at getting some airbag suspension MAYBE, and need to knwo what I'm going to do with the guards.

Different look CAT-SPEW. Both the same thing ... like tubbing

and egvtec the other thing you MAY have to do is get a camber kit ... not too expesive but yeh ... camber kit will probably eliminate the need for rolling, tubbing or flaring your guards.

And if you ever want to resell by putting the car back to stock ... then i suggest camber kit, coz once you go messing with the guards ... your pretty much stuck with it unless you spring for new panels. And it looks VERY retarded having stockies with rolled, tubbed or flared guards lol

mr plow, get some pics when its done :D....

mines got a 2" drop, 17s with 40 rubber... rolled guards so its better, still scrubs on the odd occasion tho - ie. full lock, big bumps etc.

mmm a camber kit.......i got told i needed 1 of them anyway even on stock suspension because my camber is supposedly out on my front left. But as for being not that exspensive i got quoted 400 odd dollars for the kit installed which to some may not be exspensive but me it is.

From wat i have been told the camber is the angle that ur wheel is on, u have negative and positive camber meaning the angle the tire is on is either more on the inside of the tire or the outside of the tire. Camber kits are there to bring it back to 0 degrees camber so there is no uneven tire wear which is wat i have at the moment. I am not sure on this i am trying to remeber wat the tire guy said so dnt hold me too it and price is like i posted b4 400 odd dolars installed

puts your wheel on an angle as mentioned by egvtec. reduce tyre ware, and also reduces scrubbing and better handling in some cases.... drift cars like to play around with these settings :D

u guys seem to forgot ALSO that 40 of 195 is less than 40 of 205 etc.

not sure if 195 comes in 40... but everyone is talking like 40 is a standard, its not, its a relative. ;)

ive got a 4inch drop on my car at the front and 3.75 inches at the rear, i rolled front and rear guards and it only scrubs when turning (i cannot go anywhere near full lock)
ive got 18inch wheels on my car with 215/35/18 tyres on them, i havent found to to be too much of a hassle driving it daily on sydney roads...

i know its not the most practical thing but it looks awesome...

MR PLOW: where are u getting ur rims powder coated??....thinking of changing mine from white to bronze
