Hey well turns out the gearbox is gone and my mechenic said he would put a new one in for $250 labour if I can get the gearbox.
So apart from Hontoys and Honbits, where else can I try in sydney. I have an 89' civic with d15b4 engine and dont really want to spend anymore then $500
Thanks :)

Car??
Try Hannys performance.....last time I was there (a few months ago) he had a blown D16A8 engine and i'm sure the gearbox was in tact.
So maybe give Robert a call and try.

Hey how long ago was this? Does that one bolt up to a d15b4?

Rufes - there was a complete Civic outside a wreckers on Claremont Ave, Greenacre - I only stopped to see if it had a parcel shelf (it didn't :? ) and didn't check to see if it was auto or manual - but it might be worth a look. I'm guessing that you should ring around a few of the jap wreckers and see what you can find.
Cheers

Oops sorry...must have missed that.
As to whether it bolts up, im not sure. As Setana said, call up a few places, and if they dont have it.......wait another week and call again :)
Go visit Robert at Hannys, I'm sure he might have something lying around.
to be honest when i was at online performance i remember seeing they had a d15 series engine sitting there.. it might be worth a shot to give them a call to see if its what you need.
Im not sure if Jims back from Jamboree yet though, BTW they ran a 9.79 for all you guys who havent heard.
Heres there number - 9826 6602

It was yesterday I saw it Rufes. If they try to sell it for more than 300 bucks tops then walk away. 500 is a rip.

Call BD4's - 02 98793322
Talk to Andrew aka "Mr Sheen"...
He should be able to sort you out...
(Alcohol exchange programme... )
I know they had one in the junk pile...
That is of course if it hasn't already been tossed in the Colex bin...
Worth a try…

I have an old carb engine sitting in my drivway which i took out of my 1988 gl sedan, engine and gearbox and clutch still attached and worked fine before i took it out to drop in a b16a. If your in sydney and you want it come and grab it. It is only taking up space.
:P email or pm me if you are interested.

Damn - I'd have some good uses for it - if I didn't have the B16A in mine :? Don't suppose you have the factory parcel shelf lying around? :P

na man just have the hole engine brakes a/c, all parts left over from B16A conversion. If you know anyone thats wants them they can have them. i need some more space to fill with B serries parts not D.

B series brakes or D? lol - like I have room for the parts - but I was thinking a D15 in a first gen Civic could be cool :)
