New 2006 civic details

hi i recently just bought the new 2006 honda civic VTI. This is my first honda so i dunno much bout them. Can anyone tell me the engine specs (ie. Engine type) and wot potetial it has?

in terms of tuning potential you will have to wait and see because they are new cars. so it may be a while until people extract anything reletivly worthy out of them

Its unlikely to be the L series of engines, so I think it is the r18

looking at the exaust system especialy extractors it looks relatively SHITE with a new full exaust i think there would be good gains!

From my inspection, the engine blows exhaust immediately into a cat-like thing. Am i right in saying that the cat is directly connected to the engine exhaust outlet?
i.e. Cat = Dump pipe??

Next is the obvious question: How do i change that bastard?
