Can the Euro oil filter last 20k?

Just looking at the service manual, it say only change every 20k kms... can it last so long or just change it every 10k?

Now thinking should I change it at 1k service or not...

just change it every service. it's not an expensive part and it will help ur car in the long term reliability...
but dun think there's a need of change of oil filter at 1000k service.

I never believe in 20000km oil filter changes, Honda did this to reduce servicing cost.. Put it this way, spend the extra 15 bucks for the oil filter and in return, you get a healthier engine.

If your car is new and it is going in for the 1000km service, I suggest you have the filter changed as well as the 1000km oil change. When the engine is new, the oil will be in part cleaning out the impurities inside the engine hence the oil change at 1000kms.

1,000km the filter changes. so does the 10,000km service.
it's every 10,000kms you chance the filter

Thinking of getting rid of the metal bits and pieces in the filter itself..... my previous car, change filter every 5k.... cheap though...

whats $15 per service when it might help stop a blow/warn motor in the long run. ill take the $15 insurance thanks!

Change the filter at 1k then every 10k.I was also told Honda say every 20k is to keep service costs down!!!Like others have said $15 for oil filter is cheap.Just do it.

yeah i plan to do it every 5000kms oil change with the filter

filter should only be 16.50 i think.

Honda parts department are open to a bargain, just be nice to them and they'll remember you :) That's what I do...
