a moded dc2 vtir with cam shaft and cam gears with 4-1 headers full exhaust system muffler and cold air intake against dc2R 4-2-1 headers exhaust system muffler and cold air intake no internals done, who would win on a straight drag,

Depends on the ECU/Tuner and driver ;)

i think he is referring to stock ECU's as he didnt mention it..

but yes gingangooly is correct if that was the case.

Also depends on the Engine condition, tune ups, driver!!

stock ECU, but say the driver has same driving skills, who will it be dc2 vtir or dc2R

what about power wise? . . . (kw)

You'd probably lose power by dropping in cams and not tuning... I lost a few kw on mine when I first bolted in the ITR cams. After tuning they were great though :)

Correct - dropping in CAMS, and not having a ECU that is tuneable will loose in power ...e.g. just drop in and run ..using stock ecu ... = power loss.

but if u have a tuneable ECU then yeh there will be a gain in powerwise.

id go for DC2R - as they are built with spec cams, head work, lightened flywheel, practically tuned engine, high compression, ECU is programmed to run better than the VTiR ECU's.

remember in stock form the DC2R has more power than the VTiR ...by adding boltons your increasing power or decreasing power -this goes for both DC2R and VTiR.

The DC2R if the driver skill is equal. Also your not really supposed to be posting "vs" threads.

i think its ok man ...coz the word "racing on the streets" or rather is not mentioned in this thread.

he is purely asking what is a faster or power powered vehicle.

No matter which way you look at it if the DC2R is in good condition and is not a screwed engine then its the DC2R all the way.

well it all started back in 2005 when i just imported my dc4r from japan to aus. took me 4yrs to wait for it but it was worth it. its the only dc2 in aus atm that has a b18C engine with a auto gear box. but yea had the car for 2yrs now and its running gr8t no prob wot so ever, my turbo cam arrived last week from usa costed me a arm n leg but it was worth it because its pink n stuff, and u know how they say pink makes it go faster.. but yea lookin to put it in next week or sumthing, so look out for a ghetto D.I.Y coming.
i recon after its done i can booost it up to vetC and drop the psi down to 2 so i wont get any lag. but yea it will eat a excel for sure,

DC2R needs less power to win...
Gear ratios... ;)
