Why not dc2r is made for bling. You should do it and feel proud of deviating from the usual crowd.

DC2R is made for track.... not bling.

DC2 GSi would be a better option, as it won't be humiliated when it gets laughed at.

thats stupid. then again, if your willing to put up with the amonut of crap you will get from the cops, general public, and mitsubishi owners, go for your life.

i support individualism, but there is a line between stupidity and reality.

edit: btw, dont take it personally ;) Not directed at you, but the idea.

hmmm, Will be a really tight fit, but the fact you have height adjustable coilovers is a good thing. You will deffinately need to lip all your Guards (F + R) also you will need to remove the plastic inside lineing at the front, dont be surprised if you have to do some grinding on the inside too on random sharp edges (if you do this make you you galvanize it when your finished or it has the potential to rust)... also flareing your front guards would be a good idea too as the minimum size tyre you can really get on a 20inch rim is 225 30 r20.

Now if your trying to fit rims that came off a supra onto your car i doubt that will happened as the offset will be way out and i think the supra stud pattern would be 5x120 and your ITR is 5x114? (correct if wrong), also the rims & Tyres on the supra im guessing would be quite wide... where as all you could really fit on an ITR is 7.5 maybe 8inch wide and a 225 tyre....

maybe give us some more info and please anybody correct me if i have the wrong info.

ps.. if your worried about legallaties, in qld you are allow a rim with no more then 15mm Over or 23mm Under your standard rolling diameter.... if its the same or any similar im quite positive the 20s even with the smallest tyres wont be legal (weather that bothers you or not). Also 20s will make your car higher then with your factors rims now even with your suspension (height setup) unchanged.

have a good think about if you want to go ahead with this especially if you daily drive the car, as no matter what you going to get scrubbing (unless you go all out with Tubbing your wheel archs.. BIG money there), also you your turning circle is going to be greatly reduced, and there will be a fair bit more strain on your drive train and components (reguardless on your driving style) due to the torque / load that will be put on things like your diff / box and clutch etc (from the excess weight of the rims)

Hope this helps mate :)

end of the day its your car, your money do what makes YOU happy... however keep in mind a ITR is a performance car and 20inch rims will deffinately limit its performance in every way possible....

20' wheels on a dc2R is a terrible idea, utterly ridiculous, waste of time, waste of money, unpractical, illogical.. catch my drift

can i ask you why you even bought the type r in the first place?

I just wanna see the pics. Hasn't it already been determined that these wheels won't fit due to offset, width and stud pattern? Why would he still be humouring the idea?

As a Type R enthusiast I feel he's butchering his car by putting 20s on it. Why not just get a GSi if you plan on such mods? I'm that addicted to the Type R philosophy that my car remains empty of unwanted junk, I weighed my wheels before deciding on them and prefer to run the car on under half a tank of fuel to save weight. I cringe at the thought of putting 20s on a Type R. Just my opinion of course.

get 17" or 18" will lower your car and make your car look beautiful. 20" is too much mate..
even I won't do 20" on my dc5r.. at most 19"
spend the money on something else.
definitely the offset from supra doesnt fit the offset of dc2r or dc5r.
I tried the skyline 17", 18" and 19" rims before, and it it way off and it will definitely scrub the inner part of my wheel arch. Even with rolling, it might not fit perfectly. you might even need widebody..
Look for cheaper and rims that suit your car. even if you want your dc2r to be a show car, but 20" is too much

a DC2R has no torque Mr tony. With 20's the thing wouldn't even move !

I doubt anyone thinking of putting 20's on a DC2R cares about torque. Or even knows what it is.
