The autobarn sell a pair of SAAS bucket for only $400 now and they are recaro style. Are they not as good as the others coz so cheap? why people spent thousands $$ to choose recaros.....
Just want some idea by people who have experience on compairing them/
thanks

people usually spend heaps of $$$ on real recaro or bride because they have gone through all the r&d to make a safe and performing seat. are SAAS even ADR approved????

Alot of people don't have any problems spending a fraction of the price to buy fake recaros or brides. but id rather spend the extra cash and have the confidence that if (in the worst case scenario) i got into an accident, id have a better chance of walking away then if i was in a fake seat.

thats my opinion.

You pay for what you get...
Cheap imitations - generally speaking - won;t last long!

As Q_BALL said you pay for what you get, thats why people tend to look for the more expensive brands as they are much more safe and are ADR approved

Also, the good reputation of that particular top brand, people know those brand are well known and must have the best material and cushion in them. thats why it's a baller status price. expensive brand with tiptop material made out of.

i concur with all of the above statements.

Put it this way i'd rather save myself $400 and sit on a milk carton as my front seat than sit on a SAAS seat.

sounds like a good deal.
you get what you pay for is the dumbest generalisation.

Saas seats are adr approved and come with ADR tag not just by word of mouth or by paperwork that doesnt exist.
So does Autotecnica and OBX seats. They arent the worst seats out there. The high end range of Autotecnica are even FIA approved.

and no, i dont have a Saas seat :)

I found it's hard to find a nice 2nd recaros, maybe this is another reason that it has a baller status price

now we all know honda drivers are brand name whores.
most honda drivers would choose a recaro over say a sparco is coz that's what everyone else has.... oh and it's in type R's ooooh

having said that i would choose sparco/recaro/bride/etc over saas

Hop in a car with recaros or bride seats. Then hop into those autotechnica saas crappy seats at autobahn/repco/super cheap auto. You will see for urself just by doing that.
