just multiply the mph x 1.6 to get kmh

ie. 60mph x 1.6 = 96km/h

or 65.8mph x 1.6 = 105.28km/h

Use Googles calculator. Simply go to google.com and type in:

60 miles per hour = ? kilometers per hour

Result:
60 miles per hour = 96.56064 kilometers per hour

No, its just used as an approximate.

62 miles is more accurate.

i figured out how many k's were in a mile via an indirect method when i was bored.

1320 feet in a quarter mile x 4 = 5280 feet in a mile x 0.305 (m in one foot, roughly) = 1610.4m in a mile.
