Hey guyz, I just wanted to know what is the difference between the longer cold air intake that goes to the bottem of the lude to the shorter high flow intake that replaces your stock air box?
Would it be a good idea to create a intake that uses 2 pod filters, one at the bottem for cold air intake and one at the top where the stock air box is??
Any help or suggestion would be nice...cheers fellaz!!

sorry not my area of expertese but the longer intake dips down in the area behind ur front bar and is sheilded from your engine bay heat and also gets a good cold air feed. the shorter one can do the same but you'll just have to make a heatshield and run some piping up to the front bar and back to ur pod.

oh and as for two pods. it can be made effective and it is in some cases a good idea as it increases the filtering surface by two but other than that im not to sure if it would make any difference whether it good or bad.
Having a longer tube being semi-bypassed by having another filter up in the engine bay totally defeats the purpose of having a "cold air intake" in the first place. An interesting thought, but probably do less than more for your car.

I would also just like to know is there any difference between a aftermarktet pod filter to a aftermarket filter that replaces your old stock filter that fits inside the box?
Probably none - with a street application

might help the car breathe a lil better and for longer.. if the replacement filter in your air box is replaced... from factory...
Most intakes for NA dun do much for Hondas... even with heatshields etc..

decrease intake temperature 5 degree = Increase 10% of your output.
More cold air = Higher density of Oxygen = Higher efficiency combustion = more power
