Well i just my HID kit install on the weekend on my 5th gen... not as bright as i wanted it to be.. but brighter than halogan n much much whiter... i'll get some pic on soon.

Hi there redliner, now i have read alot about hid, How is your cut off point, if you know what i mean.. does the stock lude housing shoot light everywhere???

CUTOFF point is where light stops so that oncomming traffic is not blinded.. looks like this on the road. \____ \___

and where did you get it and price too please..

the lights goes everywhere esp up. But the cut off is fine enought not to blind pplz. I think my gf got them from some guy she found on ebay.. she got it for $460 i think.
People sed thy are alrite not too bright to blind them.

What brand is your HID kit? A lot of the cheaper kits (Brighstar = XD Supervision = Polaris = Techone; all ar from China) have dual-filament H4 globes, which have a HID lowbeam with a halogen highbeam. These kits are NOTORIOUS for blurred cutoff lines, because they have two filaments, the focal point of your reflector headlight assembly is changed - I know someone who bought one of the abovementioned HID kits, and within a few days removed his HID kit because the cutoff is so poor, due to the two filaments.

For the record: I am selling HID kits also; quality kits with German ballasts and globes. Prices would be considered higher than the 'cheap' HID kits you see on eBay, but hell, for an extra $100-200, you get a proper warranty and reassurance that if anything goes wrong, you have a person in Melbourne to deal with, not some dodgy Chinese guy in China :D

Is that with highbeam or lowbeam? Because that's really high...

cant control exposure... it on a slope.. main point was to get the cut-off.. its low beam

Who, me? My kit is $699 +fitting; my kit has a 1yr warranty on ballast and 3mths warranty on the globe (not many manufacturers would put a warranty on the globes!). Ballast and globes made in Germany, not China.

by the way Brightstar is from Taiwan (repack Philips) and supplies OEM and to NARVA in Aus, largest auto light company in Aus and NZ :D

Fitting depends on how hard it is for the car. Estimate UP TO $100 for this.
Price is inclusive of shipping (from overseas to my door), and taxes.

Regarding globe warranty: consider you will get NO WARRANTY on any halogen globes you buy. 3 months is already a lot.

The kit is a 12V kit.

Brightstar H4 globe, is that the dual filament (HID lowbeam / halogen highbeam) one? If so, STAY AWAY from that one. Firstly, it blurs your cutoff really badly because of the change of focus, and secondly, they blow easily. I can get them for under $400 a set including shipping, but I need quantity. Also, I don't want to deal with products that I will have hassles with in regards to returns and warranties.

The kit I am selling is Hella repack. As you know, Hella are one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, name in automotive lighting :)

Fitting should take about an hour or so, provided no other problems :)

IF WE fit the HID kit, I can even extend the warranty on the ballast to 2yrs, and 1yr on the globe.

Fitting is also easy for my kit, no need to splice wires at all - it just plugs into your existing harness. However, it depends on your car's wiring/electrical system, whether your headlights share a common positive or common ground if you have H4 high/lowbeam - if you have a single-beam kit (ie. everything except H4 high/low, then it's plug and play :)

The ballast can either be screwed down, or cable tied somewhere. Mine is screwed to my strut towers.

$699 is for 6000K, 8000K or 10000K, entirely up to you :)

Pricey, yes, but consider a genuine Hella kit, will be at least $9xx. I can get a genuine Hella kit in for you as well, but these are just as good.

Believe me, I've looked into HIDs for quite some time, after trying many halogen globe brands and wattages. It's definitely worth the initial investment - the average halogen globe lasts you 200-240 hours, whereas HIDs will last you 3000+ hours. That's more than 10x longer - and if you spend $60 on headlight globes, then there's the money already, just up front :)

It could well be, however I'd be saying that's "up to 10,000 hours". Notice how I say 3000+ hours because that's a realistically measurable and achievable amount.

It's not actually blindingly bright if the headlight assembly is adjusted properly (reflector assembly).

If you have projector headlights, it looks OEM.

There are a lot of cars with HID aftermarket kits on the road already though...
