Just wondering on the difference between a 99-00 Civic Coupe and Sedan rear bumper as I own a 96 Coupe and would like the 99-00 rear bumper for it, just wanting to know if there is any real difference in the coupe and sedan rear bumper. As I've now got the EM1 rear lip and instead of chopping up my EJ8 bumper to fit it I'd rather just get the 99-00 rear bumper. Thanks in advance.

from the looks of it, the pre-facelift coupe rear bar has the moulds while the em1 doesn't
doesn't your em1 rear lip fit on the pre-facelift coupe rear bar? or do you have to drill the holes like the hatch's rear lip?

The EJ8 doesn't have moulds, that's only the EK4 hatch. Yes, I'd have to drill holes for the back support, sort of don't want to go down that path as I may want the lip off in the future and having to fix another one of these bumpers isn't what I'd like to do, lol.

Nope, the EJ8 bumper has a larger gap under it whereas the EM1 bar does not as it goes down further. Plus the EM1 bar has pre-drilled holes OEM to accommodate the EJ8 lip, but the EJ8 rear bar does not have any central mounting holes under it.

I'm after info on if the sedan (4 door) 99-00 is different from the coupe version bumper in terms of overall dimension from the sides, and mounting holes.

my bad just assumed that you wanted the differences between your 96 coupe(actually my fault again, looked up the pre-facelift sedan on the ozeparts.com.au website) and the facelift one
iirc the em1 bumper i have at home doesn't have any pre-drilled holes(unless you're talking about the ones on the side where you'd screw in mid flaps?)

edit; try checking this site (http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/honda_parts.php) and try comparing their diagrams, might give you some insight on the differences?

yea my mate just bought the EM1 and doesnt want the lip it came with from factory, so I bought it now I got it sitting around and need basically in a nut shell an EM1 bumper, I was mainly wanting to know if the sedan one would be the same as EM1 bumpers are in short supply (well basically any Civic Coupe part in terms of body panels are hard to come by). I've already called the lot of wreckers in my area, with the Gold Coast included, lol. I'm just putting off using my last resort and just calling my dealer back home (Cleveland, OH) as sea mail sucks, lol

actually i bought an em1 bumper last year for about $350 from honda, took about a month to get in but it was relatively painless
