d16a8 peeps needed

after searching through as much as i could handle i couldnt find what i was looking for, so.....

i've heard that putting zc cams into a d16a8 makes a 10-15kw increase. is this true and if not are there any out there that can get me gains??? brands and prices would be much appreciated

First...the same thing that everyone shoudl think before any "mod"....why does it matter how much "HP" is gained thru a mod ?

Anyway - for our d16a8 , JUST putting cams into a car -any car will possibly loose power ...you must upgrade the head with porting , flowing etc , plus uprgraded valves,springs, retainers etc etc to compensate for a much higher revving cam profile.


Just as a word of example - MY current search = Mugen 10/40 cams , MUGEN ZC computer and other head work - takes our "stock engine" to 170 hp...on a stock bottom end. Thats a 40hp increase ...with a likely price tag of about $1500 all up or so - GOOD luck finding that setup tho !
