anyone running the 20-22 whiteline rear sway bar on a EG civic hatch with ITR LCAs.?
been running mine upside down (sway bar goes up instead of dipping down) for 2 years now.
Tonight i reinstalled it the right way up cause i was planning on getting a muffler and need the pipping to go over the LCA. There was no chance of that happening with the sway bar installed the other way round.
The issue now is that the sway bar is hitting the LCAs and my car will not drop to it's proper height. :(
Guess that's why i installed it the other way round in the first place. lol
Can't go under axle with the muffler as there is not enough room.
So does anyone have a solution.?

put it back the other way. whiteline sticker is upside down is the correct way unless they have changed the sticker in the past 6 months. the ends should go up and over the lca. change your piping to suit or take the bar off.

The issue is the swaybar is not designed to be used with the DC2R , hence it doesnt work with its LCA's on another car.
FYI the swaybar should follow the OEM route -

notice how it faces down at the endlinks ?
your best option is to infact either swap LCA's with say vtir ones , or just put your swaybar back the way it isnt supposed to go lol
It doesn't matter if the bar is upside down or not. Makes no difference to handling.

cheers for the replies guys.
was just hoping there was another way around it. lol
looks like i'll have to put it back the way i had it. Run it that way for now while i look for a new sway bar.
thanks again.

Can work as i have the same setup on my car.
When you got the kit did it come with swaybar mount spacers?
(there about 10-15mm thick gold plates with 2 holes in it)
When i originally put the swaybar on i didnt install these and found that
it was just sitting on the type r lca (only just).
Then i put them on and it just gave enough clearance for the swaybar over the
lca's, but unfortunately it just touch's the rear of the muffler :(
Another option is to get adjustable swaybar links from whiteline (or where ever) to move the angle up slighty to stop it from doing so.

I had a similar issue with my car (DC2 Non-R) w/ KYB AGX & Spoon Prog. When I went to get a new muffler installed the mechanic told me the swaybar was definantly the wrong way around...and I didn't notice to much differance in handling (not as much expected from 14->22mm w/ tie bar) Then when i changed it around the handling changed noticably but hits the LCA's when entering driveways etc.
The way i Fixed it was modify the ABS Sensor bracket and ensure that the car is on level surface ON THE GROUND when installing the endlinks.
Mine doesn't touch/rub anymore, as soon as i lowered the car with it installed already i knew it wasnt going to work. So I just lifted the car back up again and did some modifications. With the OEM ITR LCA's this may be an issue. A mate has a DC2 with ITR LCAS and Whiteline and the only way it worked was upside down...only option with that is to get a new exhaust pipe bent and installed.
In summary I dislike Whiteline, their engineering and build quality is quite poor expessially for the price. The only Australian branded car item manufacturer I trust is xForce.
