Hello all,

I am sure someone will say this is a repeat....but i've just spent a couple of hours searching the threads and found nothing yet......

My 05 CL9 auto lux.....on a big country drive, i hit an almighty bump that caused the cd player to stop...
Now i just get an error message.
My wife's 03 CRV sport also has a 6 disc player, but it also plays mp3's.
Has anyone installed that unit from the crv in a euro?
I would think the player itself is similar, just the display it is attached to is different....
Surely the crv player would mount behind the euro display...?...
Any info would help...
I have seen all the stuff about putting in an aftermarket unit.........not interested....
I like my dual zone climate controls and the controls on the steering wheel.......

but a few months down the track, the sub is cutting in and out, mostly stays out.

my sound system comprises of:
1 subwoofer (sony slim box)
1x 4ch amp 900 watt sony

how it was wired:
2 front speakers and subwoofer in rear.

i have lost my receipt for "lifetime warranty" at his workshop.
is there anything i can do to try and fix this issue?
it seems like a really easy fix but i dont know where to start.

(i have tried to disconnect the sub wires and put them back in, works until the rear gets a jolt (from uneven road) then cuts out)

I am going to install a sound system in the Missus' car as a present and have a few questions that need answering. Normally I would suss the car out myself as I have a fair bit of experience with stereos, but as it is a surprise it is kinda hard to get anytime with the car.

Firstly the car is a 96 hatch (not real good with Hondas, think that is an EK?? ) and it is an Auto, ok so onto the questions:

1) Where is the best place to run power cable (4 gauge) through the firewall?
2) What size are the standard door and hatch speakers and what fits easily? (most likely only installing coax speakers)
3) Has anyone ever done a moulded fibreglass sub enclosure behind the tail light? how much room is there (volume wise) ?
4) is there room under one of the front seats for a small amp?

Looking for an upgrade from the sony splits and pioneer 6x9's, I have a 4 channel amp that is capable of 90wrms per channel at 4ohm's. Also looking to upgrade my sub i have jl audio 12W1V4 Would like to go something tighter, cleaner and louder i can run 300WRMS × 1 Into 4 Ohms & 400WRMS × 1 Into 2 Ohms. I will be keeping the jl audio box very well designed box 1.25 cu. ft. / 35.4 liters measurements of the box are roughly 30-40cm h by abt 50 wide and 50long I thinks it actually bigger then 1.25cub.ft and its slot ported. Would like something that will work well with this box and amp.

Opinions would be much appreciated. I found a package on ebay for 285 shipped for the Infinity speakers.

would it be more better for me to just upgrade to a single din ??

Hi guys, I am having issues bypassing the handbrake safety system on a new headunit i purchased for my unregistered vehicle (because many of us on here have unregistered vehicles, show cars and race cars that we want to do this on..... :cool:)

It is a singledin pioneer 8200/8250/BT model with 3" screen
the green wire that comes out of the pioneer harness is supposed to go to the handbrake. i have grounded that wire with the black wire that comes out of the pioneer harness.

It still does not work.. a friend mentioned that some new units these days need a double tap on grounding before it works..
